« 30 Rock Must See »

LIZ: How is this even working? You’re 12 years older than everyone here.
JACK: Rich 50 is middle class 38, okay.

For those of you who do not watch the television show 30 Rock on NBC, amend your ways.  You really have no excuse.  "I'm too busy."  "I don't have TIVO."  "I still wish Alec Baldwin had gone to France and taken all his brothers with him."  These are not good reasons, especially the first two.  Unless you are still living in the 90's with a dial up connection, you can watch episodes on line.  And, I recommend you do.

Other than the new sitcom Modern Family on ABC (which by the way is the only other must see comedy on television these days), 30 Rock is not only consistently hilarious but filled with biting satire that pushes the envelope each week.

In its fourth season, it still does not disappoint.  I came across these clips on The Daily Beast which interviewed Tina Fey about her favorite episodes. Coincidentally, these are two of mine as well.

No, NBC is really not paying me for the free plug.  Although, these days they need all the help they can get.  Just thought this might start your weekend with a laugh.

LIZ: Why are you wearing a tux?
JACK: It’s after six. What am I, a farmer?

We don't watch 30 Rock, but LOVE Modern Family. I'll have to check out 30 Rock!

Thanks for the chuckle this morning.

Stopping by from SITS!

We are absolutely in sync on both of these shows. But I have to admit, I find Cougar Town pretty funny and well-written, too. Other fave is Nurse Jackie. So edgy and funny. Best drama: Damages.

Ok, I get the hint....

"Unless you are still living in the 90's with a dial up connection, you can watch episodes on line."

HA!

And actually, this is a great idea because considering all the time I spend online it would be much easier for me to watch these instead of on TV.

Reading your review and knowing that we share the same sense of humor, this sounds like an awesome sitcom!

Have a great weekend, my friend.

Sincerely,
Fred Flintstone

I'll have to see if I can view episodes on-line. I normally get the dreaded "this is only available in the United States" message. Why?? I live sans sattelite or cable.
thx for your comments. I'm really, really hoping to have a new post up this weekend. I've been soooo lame. But really when you spill water on your good computer, it's no longer the good computer and this makes my on-line life less convenient... Not as inconvenient as dial-up tho ;) Elle

Oh god, I love 30 Rock and Modern Family! Great, great comedies! Especially coming from network TV. Network usually ruins everything. I also like It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

I must admit that the wife and I don't watch much television. With the disgusting amount of DVDs and blu-rays we own, we tend to watch a movie every night. But, when 30 Rock is on TV, that's what we're glued to. It really is an amazingly amazing show. Here's an "internet Hi-Five" for the plug! :-)
